Biography
My legal career has been marked by diligence and an entrepreneurial spirit. In law school at Northern Kentucky University Salmon P. Chase College of Law, I transitioned into the evening program so that I could work as a legal assistant during the day. In this position, I helped resolve complex civil litigation issues on a daily basis. This was one of the busiest times of my adult life, but I look back fondly on not only growing my legal knowledge, but my ability to work in the real world and solve client problems.
After becoming licensed as an attorney, I worked shortly in solo practice before having the opportunity to begin as an associate at my first attorney job. This position has provided me with a lot of hands-on experience in defending cases in both State and Federal Court. This firm defended complex civil cases (including numerous class actions) involving a number of State and Federal statutes as well as common law tort claims. I’ve been able to hone my writing abilities, learn the art of conducting depositions, present oral arguments, and provide my clients with exceptional outcomes at both trial and appellate courts. I’ve also had the opportunity to present continued learning classes to members of the Ohio State Bar Association as well as the Ohio Creditor’s Attorneys Association.
Working in a small firm environment encouraged me to continually provide bespoke service to our clients while improving efficiency and efficacy in my time spent on a specific task. I love technology and I’m always looking for a way to improve my workflow and use better tools. It is this ability to be nimble and move into a better solution for my clients that keeps me so engaged in my work.
My current practice encompasses complex civil litigation, specializing in business disputes and resolving complex issues arising from real estate transactions. Beyond my work life, nothing brings me greater joy than spending time with my wife and four young children.
